As somebody whose maintained somewhat of a keen interest in the natural world since being young (everything I wrote or drew was cetacean themed in school!), it made sense to volunteer as a videographer for the Bristol Festival of Nature and simultaneously gather more information about the industry whilst doing something I know and love. Run by the Bristol Consortium of Natural History, the festival encompasses many different nature stalls and activities to encourage more people, young and old, to explore the world around them. Every second of the day was filled with smiling visitors, activities and presentations and despite the looming threat of rain at times, not a single person seemed to be bothered. I was very grateful to be given the opportunity to attend and assist with such a fantastic event and I hope the resulting video truly reflects just how fun and informative it was.
