In January 2012, I pitched a drama and a factual idea to a team of professionals; ‘The Prisoner and the Deceased’ and ‘OMG OAP!’. My ideas were not selected as the pilot we developed and created, ‘Deadbeat’, but I took on the role of the location manager and was involved with script development throughout the production.
Chomp! Festival 2012 is a local music festival organised by BSc (Hons) Sound Technology students at the University of Glamorgan and was held at The Full Moon Club in Cardiff on the 18th March.I was the producer for the project of creating a 2-minute video to promote the festival.
This is the finished video I filmed and edited. Please feel free to comment and leave feedback.
In the Welsh town on Penarth in Glamorgan, the iconic pier is currently under going a huge renovation to restore it back to its glorious former self. It is hoped that it will soon become the social and leisure hub it once was and will boast a restaurant and bar, a maritime museum, a visitor and heritage centre, a function and meeting room,an observation tower, an arena, a cafe and a cinema.
The purpose of this project was to create a short film showing how much the pier means to the people of Penarth by looking at their memories of its past, its current state and the ambitions for its future. I was a camera and a sound operator for this project.
Back in 2010, I was part of a small group of people who created a short as-live radio programme called ‘Culture Clash’. As each member of the group was from a different area of the UK, it was decided that we should create a show which would reflect this. This is the final programme which was designed to be part of a short series; this one focuses upon Wales.
